You know, at that time I realized that this is not a simple instrument. This is going to challenge you. And I took that challenge and it is rewarding. Still I'm learning still there are a lot of struggles are there. But the way harsher is teaching is amazing that the step by step procedures, you know you cannot jump directly on the any melodies unless until you, you know, train your fingers. Really the last seven weeks journey was really amazing and I'm looking forward for the next phase. In fact I was so fascinated and you know I started liking flute so much that I now joined the diamond membership as well which I feel which will be more rewarding. And basically it is enjoying the journey. And till now I am enjoying learning and it's long way to go for me. But I will not give up and I will try to master this flute. Actually I wanted to inculcate some musical hobbies because I'm not the person who, you know, musical guy basically. So I thought of flute could be the easiest instrument. But when I started learning then I realized that flute is not that easy to learn. But yes, the methodical teaching what har is doing is amazing. Means it will make the life so easy. Even on online platform also they are managing it absolutely amazing way. And. And definitely I would like to be a, you know, continue to be a part of this community. Actually I had attempted to try flute 40 years ago. I had bought a small side flute, 12 inches and I could just make sound from it, but I never actually played it. This time I felt I would be serious and after seven weeks I am happy with the course and happy with the training that is provided and especially the realistic approach. Many times people or teachers tell you some grand things and they don't materialize. So the most important thing that I liked about this course is a realistic approach. You can see now what I have been able to achieve in seven minutes. Hello, I am Narayan Damle from Bangalore. I have been using this side flute for past about five to six weeks. I started using the side flute before it was scheduled. Ha.

Video transcript: Hello everyone, my name is Hari, I am from Hyderabad and my flute journey started with Palute narva community on the 23rd of September. It has been totally a new journey for me. I used to get excited about like you know very listening to the magical tunes of flute during my childhood days as I was retiring on a pooh bar I was just like thinking what could be something just to pursue for my personal liking. And all of a sudden I saw Jah went through this, came across this Instagram where I saw Harish Dave ji playing flute and it immediately clicked me and I just joined that since then when I just got my first flute that was a straight flute. It was, I was very amazed to see the flute first and then the moment I started playing it only the one sound used to come and it was very hard to get play with the fingers. But then as I attended those sessions Monday and Wednesday and things started falling in place and thanks to Guruji I think Garish ji has been really a great teacher and probably like he gives so much attention, inspiration and it comes, it became so easy. I have not been very regular due to some my own urgencies but still it was something which probably I could play the Swara then I tried the Lankaras and then third week onward I think I just ordered for the straight flute, the side flute. And that day I received the side flute I was totally like, you know amazed. I thought it was so big flute how I will handle it. And the moment I started playing it, no sound, it was all like, you know, even the fingers were not really matching to the holes. But I think there's something like and probably as you start doing new things it has been really very exciting. And the moment slowly I started playing and attending the sessions and it became more convenient and I am just playing the Swaras Alankaras now and trying some of the melodies. Not very smooth. The feedback has not been like, you know, consistent. But I think I'm just trying to get it through and I am here for a long term journey. I have already been part of the diamond membership now and I want to continue this journey and I'm very excited and thrilled to be there in Bangalore to meet so many people from the community. And I am really excited to see the Guruji also in person and I'm looking forward and trying to learn more and maybe it will take some more time for me because sometimes it looks very difficult but again next time I try it out sometime it works, sometime doesn't work. These are the initial challenges everybody of us has been going through. But I get like, you know, more happiness when my family also listen to some of the tunes. They also give that feedback. Okay, you were nowhere. And wherever you have reached now or it is just is like a start. I'm sure bit time. I just want to really like play flute for the myself for the peace of mind and because it gives me a lot of concentration, a self control. And I have been thinking, I am just like I feel that we are. I am getting more patient and also like to listen myself when I play the flute. And these are some of the good things which I am observing. And I am pretty excited. Video transcript: Namaste. My name is Amita Alva and I am from a small and a very beautiful town called Mangalore, which is in the southern part of Karnataka. I'm an avid listener of flute and my morning day, morning begins listening to a flute. And it's been a ritual for many, many years for me because it's very soothing, calming, and very divine. I'm not a singer, and I'm not even a bathroom singer for that matter. So hence I've never ventured on the possibility of exploring music as my passion or exploring any instrument for that matter, or not even tried classical music, singing classical music or whatever, that's all. Till such time that I bumped into Hush Dave's flute tutorial podcast. When I listened to the podcast, it made me believe that even a non singer like me can try playing flute. And hence my journey began. Attending the introductory sessions and enrolling for the hackathon sessions and you know, it's. It's been two months that I have been participating in the session. All I could say is all the sessions have been very structured, methodical, yet they all look so simple. That made me feel that even a non singer like me can tread on the path of musical journey. Right? And hence I started my journey on playing flute. And here I am enjoying a bit of it. And this is what I've learned so far. Hope I am I'm doing justice to what has been thought so far. I always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument but couldn't End one day after listening to her sir, I felt I should give a try. I have no music background or no prior experience of any musical instrument. And now it has been almost 50 days when I first picked up a flute ever in my life. Starting with, you know, State flute and now move to the side flute. So let me first play the flute and then I'll briefly talk about what worked for me to reach whatever stage I am right now I'll be playing 3 swar and 4 swar Lankara and also a few Escape Lankara and finally a pyramidal Ankara Sa. So though a long way to go. But here I'm after 50 days from ground zero. So basically what worked for me until now is three things. One is first I attend the hackathon regularly. Every session is important. We always learn something new in those live sessions. Second, I listen to HR sir's instructions carefully and follow it as much as I can. It is structured the best way possible. But last, not the least. I practice every day. I make it a discipline struggle is obvious. But I don't give up. I am still trying. So I hope sharing my experience with all will give you more motivation. So thank you and all the rest.

I end up watching completed that video and suddenly at that particular moment I decide to learn this skill under her guidance. And from 23rd match I started playing flutes started learning flutes under Herzer guidance and this journey was. All I can say is was really awesome. I really enjoyed a lot in terms not only in terms of playing flutes but in terms of vision of learning new skills how to develop skill. Last 7 weeks I really very enjoyed and I really want to thank all faculties also that under whose guidance I started improving my flute skill and I'm going to play now Sargam and Triswara Alankara what I learned in last seven weeks at the last. When I play the straight flute my fingering is going very finger placings are going good. The first time I tried was when I was a kid and within the first one month I had so much of headache I decided to quit. And the last seven weeks journey. The first four weeks when we are playing the straight flute we got to know a lot of concepts, a lot of mistakes that we were doing on. And now I have switched over to the side flute in the last 34 weeks. What I liked about this journey is very structured way of teaching number one second giving enough time to practice the concepts. And in each session there is one simple concept to learn so it is not complicated. And looking forward to entering the side flute journey. Here is one Alankara which I learned which I want to play. In this hackathon we learn different different Alankaras to play on straight flute to side flute. One of them is known as Triswara Alankara which I'll be playing in front of. Thank you.

It has been a great seven weeks of learning in the 14 week foundation program with Flute Gandharvas under the guidance of Guruji Sri Harsh Tawe. And I've been enjoying every bit of it. I've been a part of every live class happening and from not knowing how to handle a flute to now being able to play the side flute, I'm only very glad that this is happening. I'm really looking forward for the further seven weeks to fine tune my learning and have more joy in this process. Let me just demonstrate a 3 swar alankar and 4 swara alankar with the side flute ra. That's for it. But with more practice. I'm sure this will fine tune with a little tight schedule and the practice that I've had. This is just a demonstration and I'm looking forward for the next seven weeks in this beautiful and a joyful journey with Guruji Sri Harsh Dabi. Thank you Namaskar. I joined the previous hackathon, that is seven weeks before probably it was the 23rd of September. I don't remember the exact date. I started with like a lot of enthusiasm. I saw your link in Instagram while I was scrolling and then I joined a webinar. From there this journey started. I have been practicing regularly and yeah, I'm able to like play the notes like whatever is being taught in the class in the next seven weeks. What I hope for is to make it more soothing to hear. I mean, I can play the notes now, but it's not that soothing to hear. So I would try to make it more, you know, audible in the next seven weeks. So I would just play the three Swara Alankar that I've been practicing Sa at last. I would like to thank you for this opportunity that I could learn because I was very like doubtful about where to start learning. I am a student, I am 18 years old and I was thinking that how to start this journey. I was really doubtful about it. But when I got a processed learning and through this way I could achieve my goals. So I was really happy. So thank you.
